Thirst

On the 2nd Sunday of each month (during term-time) young people from villages west of Cambridge and beyond, meet together for an evening of worship, teaching and prayer.  The worship is led by the Thirst band, made up of teenage musicians using songs from Soul Survivor, Hillsong and similar styles.  Bible teaching is led by one of the WCCYM leaders, a visiting speaker, or one of our emerging leaders.  The prayer is an opportunity for people to actively respond to God as they feel appropriate.  There is also a prayer room for contemplation and/or prayer with a leader.  New for this term…  prayer zones to help people responding to God.

Combine all this with games, video, refreshments and you can see why Thirst is one of the places to be if you are at secondary school or 6th form college and you want to engage with God. We meet 7-8:30 pm, on the 2nd Sunday of the month at Hardwick Community Primary School.

Also, look out for Christmas and Summer Thirst which include, giant inflatable’s, teams games and much more!

For more information please contact Mark or Steve

Also check out Synergy, our other special youth service on 4th Sunday of month in Cambourne.

Thirst, the first WCCYM event of the new year is happening THIS Sunday. For a little change, we're going to Cambourne Church.

We're meeting at 7pm, and going to focus mostly on worship and prayer for the first hour.

Then stick around from 8pm till 9pm if you want to get involved with coming up with ideas for future WCCYM events. So that's the time to share your creative thoughts and have your say (much more interesting than having the leaders making all the decisions).

If you want to just come either for the worship/prayer bit, OR for the planning/ideas bit, then go for it. Don't feel you have to come for the whole thing.

And of course, the lovely Sheila Garnham will be providing some brilliant refreshments as usual!

Hope to see you there!
